Yes. Both authors must be registered in the system. Even if there are more than two authors, all authors are required to register.

While writing an entry, you are expected to comply with scientific/academic ethical rules, citation and referencing standards, and avoid laudatory or derogatory language when writing about individuals or institutions. Please use a clear and plain style of writing. All sources used must be listed in the “References” section in the required format. You are also advised to review the entry writing guidelines relevant to your subject area.

Although we have set a minimum word limit for encyclopedia entries published online, there is no upper limit. However, unnecessary and excessively long explanations should be avoided.

You can change your password at any time by accessing your personal page.

No. Entries published in The Encyclopedia of World Tourism cannot be deleted.

You can create your page by visiting the “Register” page, setting and confirming your password. If you wish, you may also upload your photograph and a short biography to your page.

No, if the image is copyrighted. However, if there is no copyright restriction, you may use images from other websites. In this case, you must provide the website address and access date in the “Source” section.

You may cite encyclopedia entries in APA style. To do so, click the “Cite” button located at the upper right corner of each entry and copy the APA citation text provided.

Each entry includes “Comment” and “Correction Suggestion” sections at the bottom of the page. You may send correction information through these sections.

Please inform us. Our editors will make the necessary arrangements so that both entries can be accessed from the same page.

You may use your own images or images for which you have permission. You may also use non-restricted images provided that you cite the source properly.

Before writing a biography, you should first consult the editorial board regarding whether the person is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. If the person is still alive, you must obtain their approval after completing the entry.

Authors with previously published entries should click on the “Login” page (please do not register again).

Click on the “Forgot My Password” button.

Then click on the “Send Password Reset Link” button.

After completing these steps, a password reset link will be sent to the registered e-mail address. Once you set and confirm your new password, you may access your page.

Yes. Entries that are not completed within two months will be reopened for submission.

No. Entries submitted to The Encyclopedia of World Tourism must be original and must not have been previously published elsewhere in the same form. However, revised and expanded works may be considered for editorial evaluation.

The evaluation period may vary depending on editorial workload and the peer-review process. You will be informed via the system or e-mail once the evaluation is completed.

Yes. If there are significant errors or omissions in a published entry, you may submit a correction request to the editors. Approved changes are made with editorial consent.

Only entries written in English are accepted for The Encyclopedia of World Tourism.

Yes. Authors may submit more than one entry proposal simultaneously. However, each entry is evaluated independently.

Yes. After making the necessary revisions based on editorial and reviewer feedback, you may resubmit your entry.

Academics, researchers, graduate students, and experts with scholarly knowledge in the field of tourism may contribute to the encyclopedia.

Yes. You may review the “Entry Writing Guidelines” and sample entries available in the system to learn about the required format.

Authors are fully responsible for the copyright status of the images used in their entries. Content involving copyright violations may be removed from publication.

Yes. Tables, maps, and graphics that support the scientific content and do not violate copyright rules may be included.

No, it is not mandatory. However, adding your ORCID ID to your user profile is recommended for academic visibility.

The encyclopedia uses the APA referencing system. References must be prepared in accordance with the required format.

The Encyclopedia of World Tourism is an open-access publication. Therefore, any information users choose to share in the system may be viewed by visitors to the encyclopedia website.

Title changes may be made with editorial approval. Please contact the editors for such requests.

No. The encyclopedia aims to produce scholarly and impartial content. Except for pages reserved for sponsors, advertising or promotional texts are not accepted.
