3rd IConMTHS 2026 Calls for Papers on Sustainable Marine Tourism and Hospitality

The 3rd International Conference on Marine Tourism and Hospitality Studies (IConMTHS 2026) will be held in hybrid format at Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar, Indonesia, on 10 October 2026.

Organised under the theme “Sustainable Marine Tourism and Hospitality: Innovation, Collaboration, and Resilience for the Future,” the conference will bring together academics, researchers, tourism practitioners, policymakers and industry representatives to discuss the sustainable development of marine tourism and hospitality.

The conference will focus on innovative approaches, cross-sector collaboration and resilience strategies capable of addressing contemporary challenges affecting coastal and marine destinations. It will also provide participants with a platform for presenting research, sharing professional experience and strengthening cooperation among academia, government and the tourism industry.

Ir. Martini Mohamad Paham, MBA, Deputy for Resources and Institutions at the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, will deliver the opening address. Dr Herry Rachmat Widjaja, MM.Par., CHE, Director of Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar, will deliver the welcome address.

Invited speakers include Nico Barito, Special Envoy of the Republic of Seychelles for ASEAN; Hendrik Lewerissa, Governor of Maluku Province; Justina Puswati, General Manager of DMC Indonesia at Abercrombie & Kent; Conja ter Bekke, Dutch business consultant and ESG specialist; sustainable-tourism scholar Steve Noakes; and Associate Professor Parinya Nakpathom, Vice Rector of Suranaree University of Technology in Thailand. The sessions will be moderated by Levie Lantu, Managing Director of Aussie Info Media, and Muhammad Arfin M. Salim of Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar.

Researchers wishing to participate should submit their abstracts by 27 September 2026. The deadline for full papers is 3 October, and the conference will take place on 10 October 2026.

Conference papers will be included in the ISSN proceedings scheduled for publication as Volume 3 in October 2026. Selected papers will also be considered for publication in nationally accredited Indonesian journals ranked Sinta 2 and Sinta 4. A Best Paper Award will recognise an outstanding scholarly contribution.
