The 4th One Belt • One Road • One Tourism International Conference (OBOROT 2026) will take place on 11–13 December 2026 in Chiang Rai, Thailand. The event is jointly organised by the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the School of Management at Mae Fah Luang University.

Under the theme “Development, Marketing, Sustainability,” the conference invites contributions from scholars, researchers, industry practitioners and government representatives working in hospitality and tourism. Submissions may address the main theme or other tourism issues connected with the Belt and Road Initiative, offering research insights and practical implications for the sector.

The programme includes plenary discussions, research paper sessions and a University Alliance of the Silk Road Tourism Sub-Alliance session. A plenary on connectivity between the Greater Mekong Subregion and the Silk Road will examine regional connections. Campus activities and a gala dinner will provide further opportunities for exchange.

According to the official call for papers, the abstract submission deadline has been extended to 31 October 2026, with review decisions due by 7 November 2026. Abstracts should contain approximately 1,000 words, including references, and follow APA guidelines. A separate cover page should provide the paper’s topic, author’s name, affiliation, telephone number and email address. At least one author of each accepted contribution must register and present at the conference.
