Academic News and Events

Researchers, academics, tourism professionals and hospitality industry practitioners are invited to participate in the 7th International Conference on Tourism Management and Hospitality (ICTMH 2026), which will take place in Vienna, Austria, from 12–14 June 2026. Organized by Acavent, the conference will bring together participants from around the world to discuss emerging trends, challenges and innovations shaping the future of tourism and hospitality.

According to the organizers, ICTMH 2026 aims to provide an international platform where scholars and industry experts can exchange ideas, present research findings and explore practical solutions to contemporary tourism and hospitality issues. The event will feature both oral and poster presentations, enabling participants to engage in academic dialogue and receive feedback from an international audience.

The conference agenda has been developed by an international scientific committee and covers a wide range of topics relevant to tourism and hospitality management. Key themes include sustainable tourism development, destination management, e-tourism, digitalization and tourism, customer experience management, tourism marketing, heritage tourism, medical tourism, event management, hospitality operations, crisis management, tourism law, sport tourism, social media marketing and world heritage management.

A highlight of the conference will be the keynote address by Dr. Henrik Linden, Academic Cluster Lead of the Institute of Hospitality and Tourism at the University of East London. His research focuses on tourism and consumer culture, destination marketing, place branding, event management and visitor experiences. Organizers expect the keynote session to stimulate discussion on current developments and future directions within the tourism and hospitality sectors.

Beyond academic presentations, ICTMH 2026 will provide opportunities for networking and international collaboration. Participants will be able to connect with researchers, educators, tourism organizations and industry representatives, helping to establish new partnerships and research initiatives. The conference also aims to support early-career scholars by providing a forum for presenting research and exploring publication opportunities.

Accepted abstracts will be published in the Conference Abstract Book with ISBN, while full papers will be considered for publication in a range of indexed international journals. Conference proceedings will also be assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) and submitted for indexing through academic databases, increasing the visibility and impact of participants’ research.

The conference will be held in Vienna, one of Europe’s leading tourism destinations and a city renowned for its cultural heritage, hospitality sector and international conference infrastructure. Organizers believe the Austrian capital provides an ideal setting for discussions on tourism development, sustainability and innovation in hospitality management.
