The 37th Annual Council for Australasian Tourism and Hospitality Education (CAUTHE) Conference will be held in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia, from 8 to 11 February 2027. Organised by CAUTHE and hosted by Western Sydney University, the conference will bring together researchers, educators, postgraduate students, industry professionals and government representatives working in tourism, hospitality and events.

The conference theme, “Rethinking the Visitor Economy: Inclusive Futures for People, Place and Planet,” will encourage participants to examine how tourism, hospitality and events can contribute to more inclusive, resilient and sustainable societies. The programme will promote dialogue among academia, industry, government and communities while highlighting new methodological approaches and opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration.

Conference topics will include business innovation and entrepreneurship; ethical consumption and behavioural change; festivals, events and creative industries; inclusion, equity and diverse identities; Indigenous knowledge and culture; policy innovation and destination governance; regenerative tourism and climate action; tourism and hospitality education; resilient communities and regional development; smart destinations and artificial intelligence; tourism geopolitics and global mobility; and wellbeing, leisure and inclusive participation.

The programme will include keynote addresses, peer-reviewed research presentations, Special Interest Group sessions and professional networking opportunities. A dedicated PhD and Early Career Researcher Workshop will support emerging scholars through academic exchange, mentoring and feedback. A Teaching, Hospitality and Events Standards Workshop is also planned.

The conference accepts full papers and extended abstracts. The original submission period closed on 1 September 2026. Authors will be notified of submission outcomes on 17 October, with revised papers due by 31 October 2026. Early-bird registration will run from 1 October to 30 November 2026, and the final programme is scheduled to be released on 15 January 2027.
