CITC 2027 to Explore Cultural Tourism, Digital Transition and Climate Urgency in Agadir

The 13th International Scientific and Professional Congress on Cultural Tourism (CITC 2027) will take place in Agadir, Morocco, on 23–24 March 2027. The congress will be held in Morocco for the first time, marking a further step in its international development.

Under the theme “Cultural tourism, digital transition and climate urgency: Innovating for resilient and authentic destinations,” the congress will bring together researchers, tourism professionals, institutional representatives and public officials to discuss the present and future of cultural tourism.

Key topics will include digitalisation, artificial intelligence, cultural heritage, sustainability, authenticity and territorial resilience. Discussions will explore how cultural tourism destinations can respond to technological and environmental change while preserving their distinctive characteristics and cultural identities.

The congress aims to facilitate knowledge exchange, establish new collaborative networks and support the development of more innovative and sustainable cultural tourism models that respect destinations and their identities.
