Academic Events

The second EARTH Conference will take place on 19–20 November 2026, hosted by the Faculty of Food and Tourism at Transilvania University of Brașov, Romania. Participants can join onsite or online. The updated abstract submission deadline is 10 November 2026.

Under the theme “Transformative Experiences and Innovation for Sustainable Food and Tourism,” the conference will examine how gastronomy, travel, and hospitality can generate lasting improvements in wellbeing, behaviour, and sustainability. Research areas cover sustainable food production and culinary innovation; transformative visitor experiences; and digital technologies, mobility, and environmentally responsible destination design.

Keynote speakers include Thiago Allis of the University of São Paulo, Dan-Cristian Dabija of Babeș-Bolyai University, and Phil Jolly of Pennsylvania State University. Their presentations address food and tourism in the Brazilian Amazon, AI and metaverse-based tourism planning, and employee wellbeing in hospitality.

Authors should prepare 250–300-word abstracts as a single paragraph, accompanied by four to six keywords. Abstracts should explain the research purpose, methods, findings or expected results, and implications. Submissions must be entered through the online registration form.

Publication opportunities include conference proceedings and submissions to selected journals. Full papers must be written in English and must not exceed 12 pages. Publication is subject to peer review; conference acceptance does not guarantee journal publication, and applicable article processing charges remain the authors’ responsibility.
