The International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism (IFITT) has announced that the ENTER27 eTourism Conference will take place 12–16 January 2027 in Madrid, Spain. The conference will be held under the theme “Shaping Tourism Technology: Hype, Human Centricity and ROI.”

Recognized as one of the world's leading scientific conferences on information technology and tourism, the ENTER Conference provides an international platform for researchers, academics, industry professionals, policymakers, and technology developers to exchange ideas and present the latest advances in digital tourism. The conference will explore emerging trends and innovations shaping the future of tourism, with a particular emphasis on balancing technological advancement with human-centered approaches and measurable business value.

The scientific program will address a wide range of topics, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, recommender systems, digital twins, tourism analytics, platform ecosystems, smart destinations, ethics, trust, transparency, and the impact of digital transformation on tourism and hospitality.

ENTER27 welcomes submissions in several categories, including full papers, research notes, conference presentations, posters and demonstrations, research-in-progress papers, and doctoral workshop proposals. Full papers accepted through the double-blind peer-review process will be published in the Springer conference proceedings, which are indexed in Scopus.

The conference is chaired by Prof. Cece Leung (Kansas State University), Prof. Luis Rubio Andrada (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid), and Prof. Estrella Díaz (University of Castilla-La Mancha).
