GUEXT 2026 to Highlight Innovation in Equipment and Machinery for the Hospitality Industry

The International Exhibition of Suppliers and Services for the Hospitality Sector (GUEXT 2026) will place a strong emphasis on innovation in equipment and machinery as a key driver of growth, efficiency and sustainability in the hospitality industry. The event, organized by IFEMA MADRID in collaboration with the Spanish Federation of Associations of Equipment Manufacturers for Hospitality, Institutional Catering and Related Industries (FELAC), will take place from 15–17 October 2026 in Madrid, Spain.

Now preparing for its second edition, GUEXT is positioning itself as one of Europe’s leading professional meeting points for hospitality suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, specifiers and buyers. Organizers describe the event as a strategic platform for business development and technological advancement at a time when hospitality operators are increasingly investing in modernization, automation and operational efficiency.

According to IFEMA MADRID and FELAC, professional equipment and machinery play a central role in helping hospitality businesses address major challenges, including cost optimization, energy efficiency, food safety, productivity, sustainability, process digitalization and enhanced customer experiences. As a result, the equipment and machinery segment will serve as one of the exhibition’s core pillars, showcasing technologies designed to improve both profitability and service quality.

Industry figures released by FELAC underscore the economic significance of the sector. In 2024, member companies generated a combined turnover of €2.5 billion, with exports accounting for €1.125 billion, representing approximately 45% of total sales. Commercial kitchen equipment remains the dominant segment, accounting for 44% of participating companies, followed by refrigeration equipment (14%) and coffee equipment (11%).

Commercial kitchen equipment also represented the largest share of industry revenues, generating 34.6% of total turnover among FELAC member companies in 2024. Refrigeration equipment accounted for 13.1%, while laundry and cleaning equipment represented 12.3% of revenues. In international markets, commercial kitchen equipment led exports with a 29% share, highlighting the sector’s growing global competitiveness.

The exhibition will bring together manufacturers and suppliers specializing in commercial kitchens, food production systems, cooking and preparation equipment, refrigeration technologies, laundry and cleaning systems, coffee equipment, vending solutions, security systems and management technologies. Organizers have confirmed the participation of numerous leading companies in the sector, including Adler, Arilex, Asdor, Atosa, Corequip, Distform, Fainca HR, FM Industrial, Fricosmos, Inhospan, Moretti Forni, NTGas, Pira, Repagas, Sammic, Taurus Professional, WMF, Wok Inox and Zummo, as well as refrigeration specialists such as Apice, Cooling Technology, Coreco, Infrico, ITV Ice Makers, Onnera Refrigeration, True and Zanotti.

Beyond equipment and machinery, GUEXT 2026 will feature seven major exhibition sectors covering all aspects of hospitality operations. These include equipment and machinery, tableware, design and decoration, technology and digitalization, coffee and bakery products, logistics and packaging, and wellness-related solutions such as gym and spa equipment.

Organizers believe the event’s comprehensive structure will provide hospitality decision-makers with a complete overview of the innovations transforming the industry, from back-of-house operations to customer-facing experiences. By bringing together suppliers and buyers across the hospitality value chain, GUEXT 2026 aims to facilitate new business opportunities while supporting the sector’s ongoing transformation through technology and innovation.
