The 10th International Conference on Tourism Research (ICTR 2027) will take place on 29–30 April 2027 at César Ritz Colleges in Brig, Switzerland. Organisers have extended the abstract submission deadline to 28 October 2026, inviting researchers and practitioners to contribute to discussions on tourism’s development and future challenges.

The conference welcomes contributions covering tourism management and marketing, sustainability, cultural heritage, technology, policy and governance. Dedicated mini-tracks will explore subjects including the circular economy, wellness and medical tourism, artificial intelligence, workplace wellbeing, female entrepreneurship and tourism data sharing. Submissions may include academic research, case studies, work in progress, postgraduate research and practitioner presentations.

Prospective contributors should submit an abstract of 300–350 words through the conference’s online submission form. Authors invited to submit full papers must do so by 26 November 2026. Papers should not exceed 5,000 words or 10 pages, including references and supporting material. Submissions must follow Harvard referencing and include the required ethics and AI-use declarations. Full papers undergo double-blind peer review, with publication in the open-access proceedings subject to acceptance, author registration and payment.

Chaired by Paola Ossola and Giuseppina Menconi, ICTR 2027 will feature keynote speakers Mafalda Patuleia and Kayhan Tajeddini. Organisers plan to offer virtual participation alongside the in-person programme. The conference will also host the finals of the second Teaching Hospitality and Tourism Excellence Awards.
