Indiana University Bloomington’s School of Public Health is recruiting a lecturer for its Department of Sport Management, Tourism, & Recreation. The non-tenure-track position carries a ten-month appointment, with a preferred start date of 1 August 2027, although timing is negotiable.

Applications received by 14 December 2026 will receive priority consideration. Recruitment will continue until the position is filled.

The role centres on teaching tourism, hospitality and event management, alongside course development, curriculum improvement and student mentoring. The successful candidate will also contribute to broader departmental teaching needs.

Applicants must hold at least a master’s degree in a relevant discipline; a doctorate is preferred. They must demonstrate professional experience beyond academic training, effective teaching, strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate with colleagues and students.

Application instructions request a CV and a covering letter of no more than five pages, addressing qualifications, teaching experience and approaches to supporting student learning. Finalists may be asked to provide up to six references.

Further details and application access are available through the university’s recruitment portal.
