The International Social Tourism Organisation (ISTO) is preparing for its 30th World Congress, scheduled for 2028, with the host destination expected to be selected in December 2026. The organisation issued a call for expressions of interest with a submission deadline of 30 October 2026.

The congress will bring together researchers, tourism professionals, public decision-makers, social economy organisations, and international institutions to exchange knowledge on the social sustainability of tourism, including inclusion, accessibility, and socially responsible development.

The hosting call addressed destination management organisations, tourist boards, public agencies, tourism ministries, and institutional partners. ISTO highlights international visibility and opportunities for lasting partnerships among the benefits for the selected destination.
