Academic News

The Journal of Global Marketing is inviting submissions for a special issue titled “Reimagining Global Hospitality and Tourism Marketing.” The manuscript submission deadline is March 31, 2027.

The issue will examine how technological, environmental and social changes are reshaping hospitality and tourism marketing. It seeks research on consumer trust, destination resilience, governance and the balance between global consistency and local authenticity.

Suggested topics include AI-assisted travel decisions, immersive technologies, sustainability claims, community wellbeing, data privacy, digital nomadism and workations. Contributions may also explore crisis communication, labour shortages, employer branding and the relationship between service delivery and brand promises.

Conceptual and empirical studies are welcomed, with particular emphasis on advancing theory. Research involving multiple countries, methods or studies is especially encouraged, alongside partnerships with businesses, destinations, platforms and public agencies.

The guest editors are Chompoonut Suttikun and Patcharaporn Mahasuweerachai, both of Khon Kaen Business School, Thailand.

Submissions will undergo double-blind peer review on a rolling basis. Authors should follow the journal’s submission guidelines and select the special issue title when submitting their manuscripts.
