The Macao University of Tourism (UTM) is inviting applications and nominations for the position of Rector, with a closing date of 26 October 2026, Macao time. The recruitment carries reference 001/REC-RO/2026.

The appointee will lead academic and administrative operations, develop institutional strategy, strengthen teaching and research, and expand cooperation with universities and industry partners.

Candidates must hold a doctorate and either be full professors or possess substantial professional experience and recognised qualifications in education. Good civic character is also required.

Preferred qualifications include at least eight years of teaching and research at professorial or equivalent level in relevant disciplines and ten years of higher education administration. Experience as a vice-rector or dean, international networks, interdisciplinary leadership, and fluency in Chinese and English are also preferred.
