Yogyakarta to Host International Conference on Regenerative Tourism

Academic Events

The 4th STIPRAM International Conference 2026 will take place on 14 November 2026 at Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Ambarrukmo (STIPRAM) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, with onsite and online participation.

Under the theme “Travel. Restore. Regenerate.”, the conference will examine how tourism can contribute to environmental restoration, community well-being and lasting economic and cultural benefits. It will bring together academics, researchers, tourism practitioners, policymakers, students and community representatives to discuss regenerative approaches to tourism development.

Key topics include community empowerment and local knowledge, innovation, destination resilience, policy, governance and international collaboration. Discussions will also consider how tourism’s impacts can be assessed through the interconnected dimensions of people, planet and profit.

The programme features speakers from Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia and Malaysia, alongside research presentations, case studies and opportunities for professional networking. Sessions will be conducted in English.

Selected papers will be considered for publication in partner journals or conference proceedings. Publication is subject to selection, and additional publication fees may apply.
