Writing Guidelines for "Accommodation and Hospitality Establishments"
Accommodation and hospitality establishments are among the fundamental components of the tourism industry, providing tourists with accommodation, food and beverage, recreation, entertainment, and various service-related needs. Entries prepared for The Encyclopedia of World Tourism are expected to present the relevant establishment’s areas of activity, service structure, managerial characteristics, and position within the tourism industry in an objective, academic, and source-based manner, including as much of the information below as possible.
1) Entry Title
[Name of the establishment/organization]
(If necessary, the city/country or type of establishment may be added in parentheses.)
2) Entry Introduction Statement (Descriptive Sentence)
Should not exceed 250 characters.
In one or two sentences, briefly summarize:
- what the establishment/organization is,
- its field of activity,
- the city in which it operates,
- and its opening year (if known).
3) Entry Text
The text must contain at least 400 words.
The sections “See also” and “References” are not included in the word count.
The entry text should begin with the descriptive sentence.
The following headings are recommended (they may either be used directly as headings or integrated into the text):

[A brief description of the establishment/organization and its place within the tourism field]

Writing Principles
- Texts should be written in an objective and academic style.
- Advertising/promotional language should not be used.
- Laudatory or derogatory expressions should be avoided.
- Unverifiable information should not be included.
- Current information should be supported by reliable sources.
- Source and permission information must be provided for copyrighted images.
