Writing Guidelines for “Education and Academic Fields”
Education and academic fields play a vital role in the development of tourism knowledge, professional competencies, and industry innovation. Entries prepared for The Encyclopedia of World Tourism should present the relevant educational program, academic field, or area of study in an objective, academic, and source-based manner. The entry should examine its scope, historical development, curriculum or core subjects, institutional framework, and significance for tourism education and research. Where applicable, attention should also be given to academic contributions, professional applications, interdisciplinary relationships, current trends, and future directions. All information should be supported by reliable and up-to-date academic and institutional sources.
Entry Format
1) Entry Title

2) Introductory Statement (Descriptive Sentence)
The introductory statement should not exceed 250 characters.
In one or two sentences, briefly summarize what the institution is, where it is located, the type of education it provides, and (if applicable) the year it was established.
