Entries prepared for The Encyclopedia of World Tourism should present the relevant food item, beverage, or culinary product in an objective, academic, and source-based manner. The entry should examine its origin, historical development, ingredients, production methods, cultural significance, and relationship with tourism. Where applicable, attention should also be given to geographical associations, gastronomic value, economic importance, sustainability issues, market trends, and its role in destination branding.
