Writing Guidelines for “Law and Legal Frameworks”

Law and legal frameworks provide the regulatory foundations that govern tourism activities, stakeholder relationships, consumer rights, business operations, and destination management. They play a crucial role in ensuring safety, sustainability, accountability, and the orderly development of the tourism industry. Entries prepared for The Encyclopedia of World Tourism should present the relevant law, regulation, legal concept, or framework in an objective, academic, and source-based manner. The entry should examine its scope, historical development, key provisions, implementation mechanisms, and significance for tourism. Where applicable, attention should also be given to its impacts on tourism stakeholders, policy implications, contemporary challenges, and emerging legal trends. All information should be supported by reliable and up-to-date legal and academic sources.
