Writing Guidelines for “Public Administration”
Public administration plays a central role in the planning, regulation, management, and development of tourism through public policies, governance structures, and institutional frameworks. Government agencies and public authorities influence tourism growth, destination competitiveness, sustainability, and stakeholder coordination at local, national, and international levels. Entries prepared for The Encyclopedia of World Tourism should present the relevant public administration institution, policy area, or administrative framework in an objective, academic, and source-based manner. The entry should examine its functions, organizational structure, responsibilities, and significance for tourism. Where applicable, attention should also be given to governance mechanisms, policy implementation, intergovernmental relations, contemporary challenges, and contributions to sustainable tourism development. All information should be supported by reliable and up-to-date sources.
