Writing Guidelines for “TV Travel Programs”
Television programs play an influential role in shaping tourism perceptions, destination image, travel motivations, and cultural awareness among audiences. Through travel documentaries, reality shows, culinary programs, cultural productions, and other formats, they contribute to destination promotion and tourism development. Entries prepared for The Encyclopedia of World Tourism should present the relevant television program in an objective, academic, and source-based manner. The entry should examine its background, content, format, production history, audience reach, and significance for tourism. Where applicable, attention should also be given to its influence on destination marketing, visitor behavior, cultural representation, media impact, and legacy. All information should be supported by reliable and up-to-date sources.
Entry Format
1) Entry Title

2) Introductory Statement (Descriptive Sentence)
The introductory statement should not exceed 250 characters.
In one or two sentences, briefly summarize the program’s main theme, content, year of first broadcast, and (if applicable) the channel or platform on which it is aired.
3) Main Text
The main text must contain at least 300 words.
The sections “See Also” and “References” are not included in the word count.
The entry should begin with the introductory statement.
The following headings are recommended. They may be used directly or incorporated into the narrative of the text.
